ICT4PR?? iihhh...gue salut banget!!!

Swear...gue gak nyangka kalo di Indonesia ada program kayak gini. kemarin gue baca di koran...ada program ICT4PR (Information Communication Technology for Poverty Reduction). Itu kerjasama BAPPENAS dengan UNDP. pertama gue baca info di web....jadi mrinding dan heran juga. bisa yach IT dikembangin buat mengentaskan kemiskinan masyarakat di pedesaan terpencil. hhmm gue jadi mikir...kalo balik ke kampung halaman, bisa gak yach gue nerapin kayak gitu. pasti ntar banyak yang ngejek...iiih fiefie idealis banget!! hehe. Pokoknya salut deh ama orang-orang yang kerja disana.

About Partnership for e-Prosperity for the Poor (Pe-PP)

What is PePP?

Partnerships for e-Prosperity for the Poor (Pe-PP) is a three-year project designed to bring existing resources and knowledge together to assist and empower poor communities to utilise information and communication technologies (ICT) for their access to basic social services and economic activities, thus contributing to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals.

Pe-PP pronounces like “pep” meaning “energy and high spirits”, and it envisions poor communities empowered with access to information, actively communicate their needs and concerns, and help themselves improve their livelihoods.

What are the Objectives?

This project has the following objectives:

To empower and mobilise poor communities for economic activities and accessing social services through better access to information and communication
To forge strategic partnerships in bringing individual efforts together for the benefit of the poor communities
To establish multi-purpose community development telecentres to provide shared access to information and communication to poor communities and to be a channel through which partners can bring services and opportunities
To draw on and disseminate the best practices and lessons learned from the pilot projects in order to raise awareness of the applicability and potential of ICT for poverty reduction, thus contributing to the formulation of national / regional policy and replication of successful implementation of ICT for poverty reduction activities

How does PePP work?

Pe-PP attempts to reinvent the role of telecentres of community access points from provision of connectivity to multiple opportunities for community to improve their access to public services (health, education, etc.) as well as economic activities by bringing partners together. Based on the experiences from Pe-PP, UNDP and Government partners will develop prototypes of community telecentre, which will be adopted and replicated by government. For the course of three years,

At community level, Pe-PP will have at least two (2) info-mobilisers in each telecentre to encourage and assist community people to visit the centre, use facilities and participate in the trainings. Pe-PP will involve local government officials in the implementation, and this will secure support from the government. Informal leaders from the target communities will also be trained as info-mobilisers to socialize the telecentre and its service among fellow community members. Pe-PP also collaborates with partners who will conduct their trainings (non-IT trainings such as teacher training, English training for poor children, etc.), and these trainings will also encourage participants to use the telecentre service.

BAPPENAS will assume the executing agency guided by a multi-stakeholder advisory board. Partners in implementation will include line ministries, local governments (PEMDA) and parliaments (DPRD), selected local Non Government Organizations (NGOs), Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and private sector organisations.

80% Komunitas Ingin Beli E 90

Suarasurabaya.net| Kehadiran Nokia Komunikator seri terbaru yakni E-90 sudah diincar 80% dari total komunitas komunikator di Indonesia. Ini berdasarkan hasil survei yang disampaikan RULLY DARMAWAN Enterprise Solution Business Head PT Nokia Indonesia usai gathering komunitas komunikator di Hotel Shangri-La Surabaya, Kamis (28/06).

RULLY mengatakan, survei tersebut tidaklah berlebihan mengingat pasar komunikator dari Indonesia cukup besar jika dibandingkan total pengguna yakni hampir 500 ribu user. Jumlah tersebut berasal dari komunikator dipasarkan kali pertama sampai yang terbaru saat ini.

Pasar komunikator yang besar tersebut, diakui RULLY, ditopang oleh komunitasnya. Untuk itu, setiap peluncuran Nokia Komunitor pihaknya mengundang mereka untuk menyaksikan produk baru.

Menanggapi produk smart phone, ungkap RULLY, pertumbuhannya sangat cepat di dunia. Meskipun memiliki banyak kompetitor seperti Dopod, HP dan O2, pasar smart phone Nokia di atas brand tersebut untuk beberapa kategori.

Dengan pasar smart phone seperti itu, tambah RULLY, akan menjadikan Nokia Komunikator menjadi market leader di masa mendatang. (tin)

Setelah lama tidak terjun dalam kapasitas sebagai Professor PR and Journalism, WW menerima undangan Lembaga Manajemen PPM untuk mengisi sesi kursus "Menjadi PR andal dengan mempertajam kompetensi". Lima puluh orang praktisi PR dari BTN, Astra Mitra Ventura, Indosat, Suara Merdeka, Aneka Tambang dan lainnya mengikuti presentasi Indira Abidin, Sutji Lantyka, Farhan dan Wimar Witoelar.

Dengan meninggalkan kostum dan lawakan yang biasa menjadi cirinya WW tampil serius dengan materi 'Leveraging PR Competence'. Tapi sesekali terdengar juga tawa dari deretan peserta menanggapi humor yang tetap masuk dalam contoh-contoh kasus PR yang memang lucu.

Secara garis besar, dalam materinya WW menggambarkan area kompetensi PR yaitu 'positioning, personality, proposition' sesuai buku Tom Brannan 'Integrated Marketing Communication'. Dalam hal 'positioning', PR dituntut untuk menetapkan posisi klien. Hal ini membutuhkan kemampuan strategic analysis yang baik. Sementara itu, kompetensi di bidang personality diperlukan untuk mendefinisikan image dari klien yang akan dibawakan kepada publik. Terakhir adalah proposition dalam bentuk langkah konkrit Integrated Communication membangun image di tengah masyarakat. Tiga hal dasar yang harus dipikirkan adalah penetapan 'key messages' yang mudah diingat oleh masyarakat, penetapan 'target market' dan yang terakhir adalah menentukan media yang akan digunakan.

Tapi perspektif baru yang diperkenalkan WW disini adalah bahwa PR masa depan akan tergantung kepada keterampilan memanfaatkan Web 2.0. Model komunikasi horizontal seperti terlihat pada facebook, friendster, flickr, blog dan pemanfaatannya dalam citizen journalism akan menjadi media paling efektif dalam menyampaikan pesan-pesan PR. Kalau corporate website, portal berita dan beragam situs informasi membuktikan kegunaan Web 1.0, maka komunikasi lintas pemakai dalam model Web 2.0 akan memberikan leverage kepada kekuatan PR melalui Web 2.0 yang mengintegrasikan komunikasi warga dengan (dalam bahasa Inggris supaya jelas) networking, collective intelligence, long tails.

Dengan cara ini masa depan PR ada pada partisipasi atau gaul dalam masyarakat, bukan pada pitching. Dikatakan oleh Steve Rubel:

'the PR community must step out in front of the curtain, become a bit more technically adept and participate transparently as individuals in online communities. We will have to openly collaborate and add value to the network and help the companies we represent do exactly the same.'

Gue baru lihat minggu lalu di internet. Sesuatu yang pernah dibayangkan tapi kayaknya gak mungkin. Bisa gak yach...ada gambar 3D di dalam file format pdf? Gue pikir itu pasti keren kalo buat presentasi atau jualan produk. Apalagi buat komunikasi bisnis...pasti lebih efektif. Dan ternyata sekarang that's possible! Jawabannya ada pada Adobe 3D. Coba deh loe...buka situsnya Adobe Company, terus download software-nya and tutorial. Emang seh harus bisa bikin obyek 3D dulu. Bisa kok lewat AutoCAD...ato Flash, Fie Fie lagi belajar juga neh. Pusing...pusing...!!@#$%&
